I know I probably need a web filter. I let my 12 year old niece on my laptop for school purposes only. A web filter will block her from sites that are inappropriate.

What about a pop-up blocker?
ReplyDeleteFor a web filter for kids, check out Glubble.com. It only works with Firefox browser, but it is free, and I've personally found it to be effective. It *may* not work with older kids that realize they can simply open Internet Explorer instead though (my kids still know a little less about computers and think the only way they can get to the internet is firefox, which has Glubble installed).
